The Arc of Story County invites you to achieve with us!!

The Arc of Story County has enriched the lives of persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities since 1953. The Arc provides support and advocacy for families and to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities as they learn, work, play, and grow within the community.

Join us for two of the most popular events in Ames – Georges Niang Trivia Night and Golf Outing! This year the proceeds will benefit The Arc of Story County as they move forward with developing recreation/social space for our athletes and self-advocates and continuing our mission of enriching the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We invite you to be part of one or both events! Sponsorship opportunities are also available. Learn More >

The Arc of Story County is an advocacy based non-profit organization serving Story County, based in Ames, Iowa. The Arc provides services which partner with local businesses, providers and community members to enrich the lives of persons with disabilities.

The Arc was established in 1953 by a core group of families advocating for their children. It is still that same drive to improve the lives of persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our community that allows US to be a leader in advocacy and services.

Thank you taking the time to acquaint yourself with our mission, programs, and volunteer opportunities.
